Our school liaison, Mr. Wang, celebrated his daughter's wedding by throwing a wedding banquet at the local hotel (a primary location for wedding banquets). In Chinese weddings, everybody goes to the banquets (equivalent to wedding receptions in America) and gives "red bags," (红包)or little red envelopes with money that are traditional Chinese gifts. It was very lovely.
The bride, her husband, Mr. Wang, and Mrs. Wang. Very nice people!
Michael and Zoe, who sat at the table next to Brendan and me.
The table's guest names. My name is at the bottom right. Brendan's is on the bottom left.
Dangerous but cool sparklers for the walk down the red carpet. Good thing there's a little kid standing right next to it!
The banquet room and stage. The heart on the stage just says "wedding" in Vivaldi font.
Mr. Wang and the newlyweds toasting our table. It was very fun!
